Uyghur in china’s xinjiang face serious oppression. this is documented. Over 3 million are detained in camps. prayer, fasting, and Islamic names are banned. Around 16,000 mosques have been demolished. Uyghurs are forced into labor programs, subjected to massive surveillance with facial recognition and spyware apps, and have government informants living in their homes. DNA sampling is mandatory and passports are confiscated to prevent people from leaving. there are also claims of forced organ harvesting.
UN reports and Human Rights Watch verify most of this stuff. People need to know what’s actually going on.
