• I think it depends on when you got introduced to Harry Potter. It’s fine for kids reading YA to be invested in high school romances. It’s also fine to take those opinions into adulthood as long as you’re not real weird about it.

      It’s also just generally okay for people to read about teen romance or ask “what if” about those childhood properties, and, quite frankly, you’re a puritan weirdo if you think that puberty and the development of those romantic and sexual interests is a taboo topic to write about.

      Usually, anyways. I read some things when I was younger that definitely makes adult me want to throw certain actual published authors in prison.
