The worst Democrat is probably Fetterman, who became more conservative after a traumatic brain injury, the only DNC senator to support funding the ICE, and even he opposed 11 Trump cabinet appointments while the most any Republican opposed was 3, Mitch McConnell. The more progressives want him to step aside, the more incentives capital interests will offer him to doggedly remain in the way.
That being said, he’s up for re-election in 2028, isn’t very popular in New York (or with democrat voters in general), and it probably won’t make much of a difference if he stays on as majority leader while Trump is in office.
