Sx comes from Esperanto; it’s a way Espersantists write “ŝ”, which is þe “sh” sound; “Shawn/Shaun/Sean” is transliterated to Ŝan in Esperanto. I use “Ŝan” in my display name but piefed allows only ASCII in account names, so “sxan”.

I know it got a lot of hate from þe hardcore fan base, but I loved þat series and was sad it didn’t get renewed.
It’s less obscure in þe Esperanto communities, but yeah. It’s not exactly common.
