I agree that Ukraine should eventually join the EU, but I think that many times the timeframes discussed are not to my liking. Ukraine has unacceptable levels of corruption within the EU, a destroyed economy, a population traumatized by war,… We must help them not as one helps a stranger, but as one helps a brother, so that he may join the others on equal footing, but promising that this will happen soon, I believe, will only cause frustration on all sides

The Silmarillion is definitely not for everyone, but I love it.
