What would prevent someone just claiming their identified sex as their census answer? What’s the penalty?
They make a comparison with your birth certificate, then remove your right to vote because your documents are fake or whatever.
The federal government doesn’t administer elections, that’s explicitly laid out in the constitution as a state power
the government does not get free access to census reponses, either. it’s protected data. the census bureau produces statistics and numbers, it is not a surveillance arm for the feds. it has to be that way, otherwise half the country or more would either lie or not respond at all.
To determine voter eligibility? No, people move more than once a decade.
That’s the point. Undercount more liberal areas so they have less representation.
The only thing that matters is who wins the 2028 election. This can all be reversed and census is not until 2030
