But I don’t want to invite people who never say yes, it’s a waste of my time and an annoying convention.
Seems more like a conveyed feeling instead of a take. Feels good if someone wants you to be part of whatever they are doing, also good if you still want the time for yourself. It becomes a problem when you stop being able to enjoy others people presence, either because of your own or shitty company.
