    Dull story: I had to replace the lid lock on washer yesterday, and I dropped a screw behind the washer. My washroom is too small to just move the washer out of the way, so I used a pool stick with painters tape at the end as a grabber.

      I love Macguyver’ing random shit together to fix very specific problems. Suddenly my shelf full of randomly assorted bits doesn’t seem so stupid anymore.

      I found some rubber washers on the street. Like someone had dropped a box and left 20 on the floor. I picked them up, took em home, gave them a wash and then chucked them on the shelf. I use them all the time for adding little feet to surfaces, creating a small airgap for appliances, screwdriver/soldering iron holders, you name it.
