If they’re saying that sincerely, I’d call them friends, not food.
Infact, seeing that “…oh!” moment when the lightbulb finally turns on is a thing of absolute beauty. It’s not easy to shake off decades of propaganda.
Even if they’re saying it to save face (or whatever) it’s a micro step in the right direction.
Networks of mutual aid provide healthcare and education. Doctors do what they do. Teachers do what they do.
Does education or healthcare require something other than people doing the work and helping each other?
