The world’s wealthiest man transformed Texas’ U.S. Senate race with a massive cash infusion to the Senate GOP’s main outside group, which has taken over the airwaves with ads boosting Paxton.

      “Money is speech”

      – conservatives, who only happen to be aligned with so very many people from the parasitic class with too much fucking money and time on their hands.

The Talarico campain should really sell bumper stickers for the embarrassed Tesla owners to atone for their purchase.

I’m willing to cut slack to those Tesla drivers who bought before it became evident Elon was a threat to democracy, but “I bought this before Elon went crazy” isn’t enough.

“Sorry for my Tesla purchase, I donated to James Talarico.”

My dad happily put that sticker on his car when I bought it for him. Then he went and bought another Model 3. He’s a Democrat. I can’t quite reconcile it except that I think he wants the autonomous driving for him and my mom, whose driving days are limited.

If autonomous driving was actually safe, I would understand. But at this rate you’re probably more likely to kill someone with auto driving on than just by being old.

But I’ve always wondered, if someone is injured/killed by a “self-driving” car, does the owner/driver get in trouble? The car manufacturer?

If there is a driver, it’s always the driver. Assuming you’re taking FSD type stuff and not autonomous Waymo. I’d love to say Waymo is on the hook for the latter, but I ain’t holding my breath.

So he’s just the only one dumb enough to do it?
