• I would basically live my life focused on what is important to me instead of having to weigh in the importance of how it will affect my job. Family events, fitness, meal prepping, hobbies, projects, health. I would have time to catch up on all that and stay on top of it. I would also sleep more.

  • Probably start a commune, make my privilege stretch as far as possible while building community resilience, learn to grow potatoes and stuff.

  • I am self-employed running my own business. Honestly other than about 4 weeks of harder work, I am basically on my own doing whatever I feel like.

When I retire, well I have an idea for another business. I would need to relocate someplace tropical and hire 2 or 3 people to work for me. I doubt it would ever make much money, but it would be fun.

    • You just need to get subsistence wage from your retirement business. You’re not looking to get rich, just to stay healthy in retirement.

  • Volunteer in my community, be a neighborhood nuisance trying to spark up conversation with Gen z in public, actively annoy my member of Parliament about issues I’m upset about, other stuff im sure.

  • I would absolutely not work, contrary to other people. I have an extremely inquisitive mind. I like learning how things work and why they work how they do. I can, and will, spend every second looking up anything that interests me and exploring my many hobbies. I’d also probably begin to take my own health more seriously if I had time to think about that.

  • Seems like everyone is answering, effectively, “live my life.” That should tell you how fucked up our current social structure has become.

In addition to spending more time on my hobbies, I’d be advocating for a better way to live our lives. 40 hours of soulless slavery per week is way to much considering all the increases in production and speed achieved over the years.

  • I’d work anyway, but only commit to half time. I enjoy my work but it can be over demanding at times

  • Hobbies all the time. Computer games, camping, painting minis, tabletop gaming, gardening (veggies and stuff), repairing old stuff, play music, read, and all the other stuff that I currently hsve to rotate through because there isn’t enough time to do all of them at the same time.

Might even do volunteer work with kids since my social limit wouldn’t be drsined by work.

  • I’d probably do what I already do in my spare time: enjoys my hobbies, keep learning, do some volunteering and keep myself in shape. I’d just be able to dedicate more time.
