• Does anyone know if it has a headphone jack? It seems dumb to brag about having B&O work on the audio if not, but I am still thinking it won’t which will kill any interest in it.

Edit: I confirmed it does not have one. total junk

This is awesome; first non-google phone supported. It us a bit on the expensive side for me, but a good step in the right direction.

Hopefully they will be able to get Motorola/Qualcomm to have the required security features on a lower end SoC and hence phone.

    • I really loved their Droid 1. Phone jack, sd card slot, physical keyboard. It was one of my best phones.

Have you read what Graphene Phone stands for? What their goal is?

      • Apparently it is to use cloud services 😉 pixel phone storage was incredibly small. At least this phone has up to 512GB internal storage allegedly. For a ridicous price I assume.

What kind of idiot stores more than 50 gigabytes of important data on their phone?

          • What? What are you talking about?

Expandable storage is for photos, videos, music, books, etc… not for “important data.” Pixels made their storage tiny specifically to push users to use Google Drive, Google Photos (pushing the “clean your device” store everything in the cloud BS), YouTube Music, etc…

A vast majority of people also use their phone as an MP3 player and camera and apps, not just a chat device. My music library is not crazy and would not fit on a pixel together with my photos/videos, for example.

    • Not Linux
    • No headphone Jack
    • No SDCard
    • might as well be a spider in the back
    • most likely not user serviceable
    • Corpo-ahh looking device
    • possibly inaccessibly priced
    • FEELS like undesirable government officials will be the ones to get these devices

Nothing to see here. Just a bunch of noise.

Only good thing is, graphene no longer locked to google devices.

  • Those cameras are stupid, 200MP is utter nonsense, no SD card slot is insane… I wish Graphene would pick a better phone

Graphene picked an OEM who were willing to work with them and a device with the right CPU to support the hardware security features.

      This was what was available.

    • 200 MP is craaazy high (as a layman). that’s like, 10k × 20k screen resolution, right?

also i’m torn about SD cards. they sound good but also are a security hazard. anybody can pull them out and read them, right? for a portable device, i really doubt that that’s good-enough.

I know they already said to expect flagships, but it’s still very disappointing to me.

Personally, I’m just never going to buy a phone with something like the 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, a flagship among flagships.

What are you supposed to do with a beast like that? It’s just a lot of money wasted, because nothing you’ll ever use a smartphone for requires even 50% of that performance.

I hope some cheaper, weaker options will be supported by Graphene too.

I think people going for this hardware + OS are more of a function over form crowd.

  • over $1k

Golly! Look at that Epstein Class price tag! And not even an audio jack to show for it! Who knows what else it’s lacking.
