Girlfriend and I started watching SILO last week, I thought “oh good, a SciFi show that’s apparently good”.
At the end of the second season there is a scene from the past where 2 characters are talking about what caused the apocalypse. One of the characters name drops Iran and says that it launched a nuclear weapon to the US. I shit you not my jaw dropped. This was released last year and the blatant propaganda was so jarring that I’m not even gonna continue watching this.
Nah, keep watching. It’s more than propaganda.
Also, I don’t know what others here are on about. I have to say Season 3 is one of the best things I’ve watched in a long time (first 3 episodes can be a bit of a slog but it just lifts up after that). Maybe it’s because I watched all 3 seasons together.
What did you not like about Common’s acting?
His line delivery feels forced and one dimentional compared to Tim Robbins
I think season 3 is the weakest to-date, but I would argue it’s still good.
By the end of Season 2 I had the same reaction as you. Thankfully as others have said, the “oh here we go again” propaganda story elements aren’t actually as bad as they’re presented. If that’s your main issue, I’d recommend just forging ahead.
Watch more .
Spoiler:
Season 3 has Elon doing a nuclear false flag to fill his concentration camps basically. Iran doesn’t really matter.
That’s actually in the 2nd book as well. The first book was good, the second was a bit boring, and I couldn’t even get a quarter of the way into the third book.
True but also, the oligarchy created seems worse than the end of the world
I’m ok with most of it, but my god, is Common a dogshit actor. I tried to watch it during the day a few days ago, and it’s giving Ozark a run for its money for how dark the lighting is.
Common can’t act for sure. We also needed to change the tv settings to see everything since it was so dark.
Like where did he get that accent living in a silo? No one else talks like that in there. Does everyone just wonder what’s wrong with his voice?
3rd season is a nose dive in quality. Its full of those exposition trauma dump monologues. and nothing really happens. We literally skipped an episode on accident and didn’t even notice.
Iran didn’t really do the bomb it was america doing a false flag.
The impression I got from a summary of the book its based on was that the author never even watched a single news broadcast.
