Western Canada was settled by many Ukrainians back in the day. Just look an Alberta phone book.
They are us. We are them.

If we assume that the most vocal ones are actually Russian agitators and the rest are dupes, then it all makes perfect sense.

I suspect that the explanation is that tankies are a lot more authoritarian than they’re socialist/communist. And I bet that a lot of self-proclaimed communists are fakes, anyway.

You see, it doesn’t matter how authoritarian the state is, because once everybody is equal (5 years, 10 tops) it will simply “wither away”. And then, comrade, we will all be truly happy, forever.
What is this fascist bullshit doing here?
I have a footage here from Mariupol, an Ukrainian city that has been under siege at the beginning of Russia’s aggression.
Estimated 100,000 lives lost — buried under rubble or in mass graves.
(Warning: the 2 min video may distress some users.)
If you and your other repugnant ‘comrades’ see support for Ukraine as ‘throwing money into the pit’ that relocate to Russia for ‘moral values’ …

I don’t know if its a money pit. I mean do we want Russia to succeeded and don’t again and again. But the problem is nobody is actually doing anything. Russia is probing other countries and they just go sorry a mistake.

From the article:
The latest round of funding includes $435 million in loan guarantees, $200 million in reconstruction loans, $40.1 million to support veteran rehabilitation, and $350 million to purchase American missile interceptors through the JUMPSTART program.
This comes on top of the $25.5 billion already committed to Ukraine since the war began in 2022.
We are told that for education, healthcare, and social services there is no money to be found. But with $26.5 billion, the past three years of tuition for every Canadian postsecondary student could have been completely covered—with $4 billion left over.
Instead, $26.5 billion is being thrown into a money pit despite the fact that half of Canadians are one paycheque away from having to use a food bank. A fifth of those using food banks are employed.
Meanwhile, it’s payday for Canadian arms manufacturers. Carney has awarded them contracts of up to $50 million to produce “millions” of Ukrainian-designed drones in the next two years.

Is calling this a “money pit” really being a “tankie?”
This drone tech and research is being shared with NATO allies across the globe and connected corporations. Including some of the worst scum on Earth.
Thhe Lpc is tricking voters into believing Canadian weapon investments will be used to fight U.S aggression, Russian or Chinese infringement. In actuality, NATO is deeply intertwined with the U.S and Canadian business is deeply intertwined with war profiteering.
These weapons and this research will be used to kill and subdue people across the middle east, Africa and likely South America. Maybe all over Asia.
We have multiple unstoppable drug crises, engineered cost of living failures, a climate disaster.
This is taxpayer money spent on a foreign military that proudly wears Nazi imagery and a foreign government with a history of corruption.
If someone has a problem with anything other than the tone of the article, if the info in the article is somehow incorrect, I 100% want to hear about it.

Whenever someone brings up that the Ukrainian army are all nazis, they lose complete credibility.
Zelenskyy is Jewish. The army are mostly conscripts. There’s only a small group in there that claim to be neo nazis. But guess what, chicken butt? We have neo nazis in the Canadian army. Hell, it’s their primary source of recruitment, when they haven’t already joined to learn how to use weapons and combat in the first place.

There’s like 4 instances of whataboutisms in that statement.
The fact is the ukrainian military does have Nazi imagery integrated into their structure.
To say the CAF actively and purposefully recruiting neo-nazis is quite the statement.
