      She doesn’t look good. But it’s that time of the year (they are seasonal, so they all die and only the offspring makes it into the next year).

          A lot of spiders aren’t, it doesn’t mean they will just get bigger. There is cap at some point. The mygalomorphs (tarantulas and trapdoor spiders) do get quite big, but even those do most of their growing in the first 5 years, then can live into their 20s without getting much bigger (and some trap door spiders into their 40s … look up the oldest spider!).
