NASA's Curiosity rover catches stunning Martian dawn

    NASA has released a striking image of dawn on the Martian surface taken by its Curiosity rover, showing sunlight bathing jagged crags formed billions of years ago.

              Probably lower than you think. Based on what I can find the cost for Opportunity and Spirit adjusted for inflation was about 3.2 billion for both rovers and Opportunity alone took roughly 210,000 pictures. So roughly $7600 per photo adjusted for inflation and not counting the value of any of the rest of the science. I will be very curious to see how many pictures Perseverance and Curiosity end up taking.
